Price per FootWe are often asked for a "price per foot", but always explain that this is a mis-leading concept. All boats, whatever the length, have all of the standard, and costly, components. These include the engine & running gear, the electrical system components including inverter/charger, battery bank etc, the bathroom suite, the galley appliances, heating system, calorifier, and the main joinery such as bed, wardrobe, galley cupboards etc. The steelwork involved in constructing the bow and stern is also by far the most time-consuming & costly part of the job. You can see that a few extra feet of straightforward cabin length is going to cost, in proportion, far less to produce. If we were to quote you a price per foot, based, say, on a 57ft design, then charge that price for each extra foot to produce a longer boat of the same design, this could constitute an over-charge. Unfortunately the same facts mean that a shorter boat of the same quality is necessarily going to cost proportionately more in comparison! To illustrate our pricing strategy we have designed our standard specifications. These serve to give examples of the level of equipment etc at a given price point, however they can be modified in many ways to suit individual tastes & requirements, with the final price adjusted as appropriate Current Prices for Standard Design NarrowboatsOur Standard specifications are fully equipped for your comfort and convenience, including all essential equipment such as inverter/charger, central heating, cooker and fridge. For those who plan to use their boat for extended cruising or residential purposes, we strongly recommend the addition of our Extra Pack and for a touch of extra luxury we offer our Deluxe Pack NB: Prices inclusive of VAT at 20% (this will be adjusted as necessary in line with any future budget announcements) Holly45:A 45ft go-anywhere narrowboat with traditional style stern and cosy layout
