We have created our standard narrowboats from our own experience, resulting in 3 popular designs :

Specifications

We offer our standard designs in four price bands, each using the same high standard of woodwork and materials, but with different equipment specifications: Standard, Extra, Deluxe and Basic

Whichever specification you choose, there are many options to choose from and extras which may be added if required, to ensure that your narrowboat suits your individual needs.

Standard Specification 

For customers seeking a fully equipped narrowboat we recommend our Standard Specifications, which have everything you need to make your narrowboat user-friendly, practical and comfortable.

When comparing prices, please bear in mind that our Standard Specification prices include many items which will significantly enhance your narrowboat, but which are commonly charged for as extras.

Easily overlooked, but equally important, are features which allow you to monitor the onboard systems, such as engine performance, battery status, and fuel & water levels.  Customers who have owned a boat before will appreciate this logic, since their value quickly becomes obvious when they are missing!

Included in our prices for Standard Specifications are:

• pedigree shell from Colecraft (or GJ Reeves at small extra cost)

• stainless steel fresh water tank

• fresh water level gauge

• Beta Marine engine with 3:1 hydraulic PRM gearbox

• deluxe engine instrument panel with volt meter, oil pressure gauge, water temperature gauge and tachometer

• diesel fuel level gauge

• Aquadrive flexible coupling for noise and vibration reduction

• twin alternators with alternator controller for efficient charging

• full traction battery bank, designed for heavy cycling

• Victron 1.6kw/70amp inverter/charger, with remote control panel enabling you to monitor battery status

• Webasto 5kw diesel fired central heating with cabin and calorifier thermostats - low maintenance system, designed to run on all grades of diesel

• Bubble corner solid fuel stove

• LPG/CO monitor & smoke alarm for safety and peace of mind

• Bubble test point on LPG system enables owner to easily test system for leaks

• 1kw immersion heater

• plumbing & power point for washing machine

• fitted dinette, convertible to double bed

• luxury bathroom with corner bath with shower over, ceramic basin set in vanity unit, Thetford electric flush cassette toilet and feature downlit mirror,

• carpets and curtains

• half-glazed, solid oak front doors, or steel lined with oak if preferred

• quality Channelglaze windows or portholes with drop-back vents, concealed fixings & powder coated frames

• steel rear doors, lined and panelled in traditional style

• steel side doors mid-ships, lined and panelled

• steel side-lockers/seats on front deck

• lift-up access to weedhatch in rear deck (trad. style boats)

• professionally hand-painted exterior paintwork by Dave Mundy, of Debdale Wharf

Extra Specification

For those who are planning to use their narrowboat for residential or extended cruising, we strongly recommend our Extra Specification which has all of the comforts and equipment of our Standard Specification plus:

• Inverter/charger upgraded to 2.5Kw/120amp

• Domestic battery bank upgraded to 640 amp-hours at 12v

• Washing machine

• Bowthruster

• Cratch with zipped canvas cover

Deluxe Specification

Adding yet more refinements, our Deluxe Specification offers, in addition to the Extra Specification:

• Solid cherry or solid surface (eg Corian) worktops

• Solid oak planked flooring throughout

• Additional pair of side doors to the saloon

• Glazed inner doors to side doors

Basic Specification

We understand that not everyone requires (or has the budget for) a top range technical specification for their narrowboat.  Our standard designs can be produced with a less comprehensive specification resulting in a quality narrowboat at a budget friendly price.

Prices

Our pricing policy ensures that there are no hidden extras - we do not price our standard specification narrowboats at a low price to attract interest, then charge extra for essential equipment such as an inverter or central heating.
